Hi, I'm so glad you're interested in yoga! I teach Vinyasa and Yin yoga.

Vinyasa is a flowing, dynamic form of yoga where we synchronize breath to movement creating a moving meditation. Vinyasa is a style of power yoga and offers a cardio element as well as an opportunity to improve strength, flexibility and balance. We also get to have a bit of a laugh, it's all good fun! Suitable for all levels of experience and beginners are very welcome, there will be modifications offered to make poses easier and progressions for those who are looking for more of a challenge.

Starting in Term 4 (Monday 9 Oct 17) I will be offering two beginner classes on Monday and Wednesday evenings from 5.30-6.15pm. These classes are shorter, slower and specifically tailored to new students. There will be lots of opportunities to ask questions and emphasis on correct and safe alignment.

Yin is a restorative, meditative type of yoga where we only do about 5 poses for the hour class but each pose is held for about 5 min to get a deep stretch through the fascia which is the connective tissue found throughout the body wrapping the muscles. There are lots of props to make you as comfortable as possible so you get the most benefit. It's the perfect style of yoga to complement Crossfit, running, lifting, cycling.

Come and practise with friendly, like-minded people and enjoy all the benefits that yoga has to offer. Feel free to BYO mat if you have one, otherwise I have studio mats which you are welcome to use.
